The training course

The first phase of the program is an 8-hour (2 days, 2 x 4 x 45 minutes) practical self-defence training, where the participants will be introduced to TREVA’s non-violent self-defence methods. After the practical sessions, learning materials (the TREVA training manual, training videos, counselling and training plan) will be used to prepare the participants for the final examination comprising two parts:

  1. An online exam on the theoretical part of the program;
  2. A practical exam covering self-defence skills acquired by the participants.

All participants will receive a certificate of successful completion of the online and practical exams.

Support provided by the TREVA Team

After the exam, our team will, for a full academic year, provide assistance to teachers participating in the program in carrying out the following tasks:

  • Developing lesson plans
  • Local support in introducing the program in the school

We invite applications from physical education teachers, instructors, school psychologists and teachers who would like to be involved in the mental and practical training of schoolchildren and are ready to help reduce violence in schools.
